Fall décor does not need to take over the house. A warm fragrance, a favorite reading spot, and a candle in a textured concrete vessel can be enough to change the mood.
A familiar fragrance for a slower evening
Apple and cinnamon are a familiar pairing for people who enjoy warm, comforting scents. The SJS Homemade Apple Cinnamon candle brings that combination to a small-batch candle made in Evansville. It is a simple way to make your everyday space feel ready for a cozy evening.
The 10 oz. concrete container candle is listed at $15. The fragrance is one part of the choice; the vessel is another. Confirm the available finish before ordering if you have a particular color or shape in mind.
Build a cozy corner with what you already have
Start with the chair, shelf, or coffee table you already use. Add a throw or a book if that suits your routine, then give the candle a stable, heat-resistant surface of its own. Concrete texture can work alongside wood, darker accents, or a simple neutral room.
Keep textiles, dried decorations, and other combustible items well away from a burning candle. A pretty arrangement should never place the flame close to curtains or foliage. There is no need to buy a roomful of seasonal decorations to enjoy one well-chosen piece.
Keep the candle ritual simple and responsible
Follow the candle label and the maker’s instructions for wick care and burn time. Burn within sight, keep it away from drafts and things that can catch fire, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Let the vessel cool before moving it.
If you are sensitive to fragrance or buying for someone whose preferences you do not know, ask about the scent first. A candle is most enjoyable when the fragrance suits the person and the setting.
One for you, one for a local gift
Two Apple Cinnamon candles total $30 before tax. That qualifies for SJS Homemade’s free local delivery in Evansville on orders of $20 or more. It is an easy pairing if you want one for your own home and one for a friend.
When the wax is finished, the cleaned concrete vessel can become a catchall or décor piece. Contact SJS Homemade for the current selection and delivery arrangements, and make your next cozy evening a little more local.
